Oldcastle Materials is the leading vertically integrated supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready-mix concrete and construction and paving services in the United States. Oldcastle Materials switched its traditional, and expensive, trunked radio system to POC using fleet management software, ESChat, Samsung Tablets and Savox Promate mobileRSM. With 300 drivers and the need for continual communications, this new solution enables Oldcastle Materials to deliver a reliable communication platform, while adding efficiency tools to better manage their fleet—all through a single device approach. Savox worked in conjunction with Oldcastle Materials to develop a solution that would meet the specific requirements of their drivers and other customers in the transportation business. The resulting product, Savox Promate mobileRSM, pairs a ruggedized microphone with features specific to meet the needs of truck drivers including superior sound volume, extra-long cable, dash mounted clip and more.

“Over the past several years, we have consolidated our different communications services onto mobile devices to reduce our overall costs. We are continually researching new solutions to help us provide an excellent communications network for our drivers and fleet managers, at the best available price,” said Jack Delperdang, Chief of Telematics Committee and Director of Customer Service and Dispatch Operations for Oldcastle Materials. “The Savox Promate mobileRSM enables us to communicate clearly with our drivers at all time while using affordable tablet and PTT solutions.”
